God’s expectations for each person are far greater than what individuals typically see in themselves. The gap between human self-perception and divine perspective is not a burden—it is described as “expanding” and “exciting,” a call toward more than what we currently imagine.
Illustration from the sermon: A new member dreamed of climbing Mt. Everest. True Mother responded: “Your dream is too small.” The correction points not to the dream being wrong, but to the scale being insufficient for what God sees in that person.
The implication: self-limiting beliefs are not humility but a failure of spiritual sight. Seeing oneself through God’s eyes is a practice, not a state.
Sermon potential: contrast between human “floor” and God’s “ceiling” for us as illustration for identity in worship.
