The institutional church cannot do what the home does. What children learn about God, they learn through parents. Not from parents’ direct teaching — through the texture of daily life. The image of God that forms is the image of home.
We outsource everything: school, entertainment, spirituality. This is the pathological pattern. You cannot delegate spiritual formation and then be surprised by spiritual emptiness. The church, the school — they supplement, they don’t originate.
Daughter + Beatles shirt: She ignored music lessons but fell in love with music because the environment was saturated with it. The cool shirt created curiosity; the lessons didn’t. You can’t force formation — you can design the environment where it happens naturally.
Success trap: Building a stable family only for worldly success (college + job) wastes the spiritual inheritance. Material progress ≠ human upgrade. More doctors than ever; more disease than ever.
Real goal = Christlike character, selfless hearts. Character > credentials.
