“The purpose of a church is to find and establish God’s nation; it is not to find and establish a church.” (CSG 031-277)
This has a direct implication for Sunday format: the 10am service exists to win people to True Parents. Not primarily to serve members. Members are already there. The design question is always: will this help a visitor encounter God’s heart and want to return?
What this means practically:
- Predictable, newcomer-friendly format so members can confidently invite friends
- Songs, testimonies, and message work together toward one goal
- Insider language always requires context — say “founder” before “Father,” “teaching” before “DP”
- Every song evaluated for evangelistic effectiveness alongside theological soundness
The visitor should leave thinking: “I want to be part of that” — not because identity was hidden or truth was watered down, but because they experienced:
- Genuine love and warmth
- Clear message about God’s heart
- Real people with transformed lives
- A community they want to belong to
Sunday → Workshop → Blessing → Tribal Messiah. Sunday is entry point, not destination.
“How many citizens of heaven you restore will be the most precious thing for you… This is your only asset.” (CSG 30-148)
