Chapter 7 presents ancestors as more than spectators. They can assist descendants when an earthly course opens that gives them a lawful path to cooperate with restoration.

This means the descendant’s life is partly representative. A faithful course does not terminate in one person; it can widen a road that earlier generations could not finish for themselves.

The idea is demanding because it turns ordinary obedience into inherited responsibility. To open a path on earth is to create room for help from above and relief behind.
