True Father assigns Korea, Japan, and America to the three primordial roles of the Garden of Eden:
- Korea = Adam (peninsula/masculine/the land where the returning Lord appeared; the source of restored lineage)
- Japan = Eve (island/feminine/the nation that gathers creation and must return it to Adam; the economic powerhouse with a maternal mission)
- America = archangel (the Christian cultural sphere; powerful and blessed, but structurally meant to serve and follow, not lead independently)
The three archangels in the full picture are: America (Christian/heavenly archangel), China (Asian archangel), and Russia/Soviet Union (the satanic/communist archangel). All three must eventually submit to and align with Adam and Eve.
The structural parallel to Eden is exact and intentional. In the original Garden, the archangel (Lucifer) seduced Eve away from Adam, leading to the Fall. In the modern period, the three archangel nations have competed with each other to capture Japan (Eve) — each wanting her economic power and strategic position. This is the same cosmic drama replaying at a national scale.
True Father’s providential interventions — cross-cultural Blessings binding Korea and Japan, his years of work in America, his meetings with Soviet and Chinese leaders — are the counter-moves to restore the original structure: Eve united with Adam, archangels submitted to and serving the Adam/Eve unit.
“Adam is Korea, and Eve is Japan, and this still stands. The original world would be one where Adam and Eve and the three archangels are one.” (CSG 201-232, 1990.4.22)
The urgency is this: if Adam and Eve are “ensnared again” — if the three archangels successfully capture Japan away from Korea — it is the world’s death. The drama of whether this providential structure will be completed is ongoing.
