“Love is the best bait.” This is True Father’s most memorable teaching from his extensive engagement with fishing. The principle: every created being orients toward the highest love available to it. Fish move toward what they hunger for. People move toward what they most deeply need. Nations ultimately align with whoever offers the most genuine and comprehensive love.

This is not metaphor or sentiment; in Unification theology it is a structural principle (the principle underlying why love — not force, not argument, not strategy — is the only instrument that produces lasting results). Everything in creation is designed to receive and respond to love as the fundamental energy of the universe.

Applied to witness: The one who witnesses from genuine love is not using a technique; they are operating with the grain of creation. The fish doesn’t resist the bait it’s hungry for. People who are starving for real love cannot resist the one who genuinely offers it.

Applied to prayer: Prayer that comes from love rather than petition draws Heaven’s response because it aligns with the direction in which the universe is already oriented.

Applied to leadership: People follow the one who loves them most completely, not necessarily the one with the most authority or the best arguments. This is why True Father could move nations — not through political leverage but through the quality of love he brought.

“If you fish with love, you can catch anything.” (CSG)

Sermon hook: What are you fishing for? And what bait are you using? The most elaborate technique with the wrong bait catches nothing. The simplest approach with the right bait (genuine love) catches everything.
